¹In 1932, Go Min-hwan returned to Okgu County and organized a body of dao, then decided upon a place for a dojang on Oseongsan Mountain in the county.²In the autumn of that year, the construction of the dojang began.

³However, the funds were depleted before its completion. The following year, when Mun Myeong-su and Yi Jung-jin, followers from Okgu County, journeyed to Yonghwa-dong Village and visited Taemonim,⁴She urged them, “Know that I shall relocate to Oseongsan Mountain in time to hold the Winter Solstice Chiseong there.⁵Make haste to complete the construction of the Oseongsan Dojang.”

⁶The two returned and conveyed Taemonim’s message to Min-hwan and several other disciples, but no one knew how to obtain the funds to proceed.⁷At that time, however, Yi Jin-muk raised the money for the construction expenses by selling his house.

⁸Immediately, they hastened the construction, yet still could not complete it before the winter solstice. Thus, they first completed construction of a single large room in which Taemonim could reside and made preparations to serve Her.⁹The dojang construction would eventually be completed the following year, 1934.
