¹Taemonim then ordered, “Warm the bathwater,” and She bathed without assistance.²“Bring out the new clothes,” She said after Her bath, then changed into new clothes the disciples had previously presented to Her. Afterward, She lay down on a mattress and summoned Go Min-hwan to sit beside Her.

³After two hours, She suddenly spoke to the disciples, “If all of you would only reform your minds, you will behold the Paradise of Immortality.... Though the Paradise of Immortality is right before your eyes....”⁴Then, She said, “Faithfully tend to your duties.” Min-hwan inquired about the meaning of Her words, and She replied, “What more is there to say?”

⁵She added, “Have another mattress spread beside Mine. When Jeung-san Sangjenim returns, I shall return with Him; when I return, Jeung-san Sangjenim shall return with Me.”

⁶A moment later, She said to Min-hwan, “Put your hand on My head.” She then waved Her hand toward Sangjenim’s portrait and said,⁷“It is time for your Father to arrive.” After saying this three times, She closed Her eyes and ascended to heaven.

⁸Taemonim, She who is the Mother of all humanity and of all the spirits in heaven and earth, atoned for sins on behalf of all beings through Her ten-year Work of Renewing Heaven and Earth⁹and thus opened the path to the Later Heaven’s fifty-thousand-year Paradise of Immortality. Leaving behind the years of trials and tribulations, She departed for the heavenly realm.¹⁰She ascended to heaven at the Hour of the Ox, October 6, the Year of the Green Pig (Year Eul-hae, DG 65, 1935), the 4268th year since the founding of Ancient Joseon, the 5832nd year since the founding of Baedal, the 9132nd year since the founding of Hwanguk. Taemonim was fifty-six years of age.

¹¹The disciples who were present serving Taemonim were Go Min-hwan, Bak Jong-o, Yi Gil-su, and others. ¹²When the day began to dawn, they searched for burial clothes, only to discover that Taemonim had already hung them ready on a hanger rod.
