¹One day, Taemonim conferred upon Yi Jin-muk the qi of Venerable Monk Jin-muk and then established the Great Buddha Dosu.²In doing so, She declared to the many disciples present, “Jin-muk is in charge of the work of renewal for ending Buddhism.”

³Taemonim continued, “This work of renewal is the work of renewal for ending the Buddhism of the Early Heaven, and it is the work of renewal for the Seven Stars, which brings forth the Great Buddha of the Later Heaven.⁴The Seven Stars Dosu is the dosu that brings the Work of Renewing Heaven and Earth to fulfillment.”

⁵Next, Taemonim had Jin-muk chant, “Bok-rok-seong-gyeong-sin Su-myeong-seong-gyeong-sin,” and then She declared,⁶“Fathoming the sustenance and blessings, life and longevity for all people, I shall have sustenance and blessings, life and longevity be granted fairly in the Later Heaven’s age of sages.”
