¹Gim Hyeong-ryeol reported Jo Cheol-je’s abominable act of excavating and stealing Sangjenim’s holy remains to the Gimje Police Station,²which then alerted all the police stations in Jeollabuk-do Province and launched an investigation. However, the police wished for this incident to bring about the downfall of all the organizations founded on Jeung-san Sangjenim’s teachings and thus made only a show of proceeding with an investigation.

³Meanwhile, after stealing Sangjenim’s holy remains, Cheol-je concealed the remains in a small inner room of the ancestral memorial offering ritual house of the Yi family of the Jeonui lineage in Tongsa-dong Village, then he defrauded his followers of money by claiming that on a certain month and day flesh would cover Sangjenim’s bones and He would once again incarnate into the world.⁴However, when the promised day arrived, Sangjenim did not incarnate. And so, this purported incarnation was postponed to September 19, Sangjenim’s Incarnation Day, but this too proved to be a fraud.

⁵After Cheol-je’s unrighteousness and deplorable infamy, which outraged heaven and earth, Sangjenim’s holy remains were subjected to various indignities and their whereabouts ultimately became lost.
