¹After offering a chiseong one day, Taemonim announced, “I shall now establish the Vanguard of Six Dosu,” and She then conducted a work of renewal for organizing the body of dao as follows.

²She chose people for the four directions—east, west, south, and north—then had them plant four large flags: a green flag in the east, a white one in the west, a red one in the south, and a black one in the north. She appointed a head to stand before each of these flags.³In the center, She had a yellow dragon flag raised, and in front of it, She had a high, multilayered platform built.

⁴Taemonim next drew a yut diagram on this platform, seated Herself upright on it, and proclaimed, “The spiritual qi of earth shall span sixty ri in all four directions.”⁵She then declared, “When the spiritual qi of earth has completely roused, humanity will be culled. Emulate what is good; reform what is wicked.”

⁶Taemonim selected fifty disciples and appointed them as the principals of the four directions, then She organized them into vanguards of six, eight, twelve, and twenty-four.⁷She had the vanguard of six stand in a line abreast behind the eastern flag, the vanguard of eight behind the western flag, the vanguard of twelve behind the southern flag, and the vanguard of twenty-four behind the northern flag.⁸Of the remaining people, She allotted six people under each member of the first vanguard of six, thirty-six in total;⁹eight people under each member of the first vanguard of eight, sixty-four in total;¹⁰twelve people under each member of the first vanguard of twelve, one hundred and forty-four in total; ¹¹twenty-four people under each member of the first vanguard of twenty-four, five hundred and seventy-six in total. ¹²Go Min-hwan and Gahng Won-seop stood in the center attending on Taemonim.

¹³Taemonim declared, “When we have millions of followers in the days to come, organizing these followers in accordance with this original structure will allow them to win over all the peoples of the world.”

¹⁴After this work of renewal, Taemonim ushered in a movement for spreading the teachings via the principals of the four directions’ vanguards of six, eight, twelve, and twenty-four and their subordinate organizations. The dao’s following and its influence began to soar.
