¹Taemonim revealed, “The attendant buddha statue to the south of the Maitreya statue in the Maitreya Shrine of Geumsansa Temple depicts the ‘Wheel of Dharma’ Bodhisattva of the innermost palace of the thirty-three heavens, who incarnated into this world as Myself, assuming the surname Go.

²“When I was the Wheel of Dharma Bodhisattva, Sangjenim and I entered into a bond and firmly vowed to raise up the Later Heaven’s fifty-thousand-year Paradise of Immortality.³In concord with the tides of the world, I then followed Sangjenim into the human world for the purpose of delivering it and its people.”

⁴Taemonim continued, “In coming to this world, I first descended as the mountain spirit of Moaksan Mountain, and when Sangjenim descended into the world, I escorted Him to the Maitreya statue of Geumsansa Temple, where I attended upon Him.⁵Eventually, Sangjenim incarnated into the Gahng family of Gaengmang-ri Village, located at the foot of Sirusan Mountain, which stands in the middle of the Nine Dog Villages. ⁶Nine years thereafter, I incarnated into the Go family of Damyang County. I married into the Shin family, but was widowed.⁷When I met Sangjenim through the work of renewal for the Subu, He said,⁸‘I have caught Jeju lightning, and I now wield it. Subu, I have finally found You. How splendid that we—two people destined to meet—have finally found one another.’”
