¹After holding the Winter Solstice Chiseong on November 11, Taemonim gathered over 120 followers in the yard and began conducting a work of renewal.²She had a group of five people stand at each of the twenty-four directions and had a high platform positioned in the center.³Sitting on the platform, Taemonim proclaimed, “This is the work of renewal for reexamining and reestablishing the destiny of the union of the three daos—Immortalism, Buddhism, and Confucianism—in the fifty thousand years of the Later Heaven.”

⁴She ordered Go Min-hwan to read Hyeonmugyeong aloud from beginning to end. When he had done so, She waved Her tobacco pipe left and right.⁵At this, auspicious qi that glowed like the setting sun encircled the premises of the dojang.

⁶Taemonim sang, “The essence of Immortalism is creation-transformation, the essence of Buddhism is form-substance, and the essence of Confucianism is propriety.” She then descended from the platform, and the auspicious glow dissipated.

⁷Taemonim declared, “You must be able to renew your mind and body through the practice of mastery over your five viscera and six entrails. ⁸The Later Heaven’s work of heaven and earth shall be the great dao mastery through the knowing of the mind.⁹All depends upon you—if you truly understand, practice in earnest.”
