¹On September 21, Taemonim commanded the disciples, “Bring a sedan chair, and set a chamber pot on it.”²She then took over ten disciples to Geumsansa Temple, including Go Chan-hong, Jeon Jun-yeop, and Yi Geun-mok.

³After they arrived at Geumsansa Temple, Taemonim offered a chiseong inside the Maitreya Shrine. Afterward, She declared toward a throng of observers in a thunderous voice, “Sangjenim’s Holy Spirit has now left the Maitreya Shrine!”⁴She ordered the disciples, “Bring the chamber pot,” but the monks of Geumsansa Temple fiercely sought to prevent this command from being carried out.⁵Taemonim hence rebuked the monks in a thunderous voice, freezing them, then before the eyes of numerous onlookers, She urinated in the chamber pot inside the dharma hall of the Maitreya Shrine.⁶Afterward, She gave this pot to Geun-mok and commanded, “Splash it on that Maitreya statue. It is but an illusion.”

⁷Utterly stunned and confused, Geun-mok dared not carry out the command, but Taemonim emphatically pressed him to do so.⁸Seeing no other choice, Geun-mok carried the chamber pot toward the Maitreya statute, but he feigned a fall as he did so and spilled the urine on the wooden floor of the Maitreya Shrine.

⁹Taemonim declared to all, “Never again prostrate yourselves before this statue or even enter into this shrine. The statue is but a fraud.”¹⁰She next entered the Shakyamuni Buddha Shrine and demanded of the Shakyamuni Buddha statue, “Why are you still here? Depart immediately!” As She spoke these words, She struck the statue’s head with Her tobacco pipe.
