조선 朝鮮 Joseon    

한국인의 민족사적 정체성 전체를 포괄하는 용어이다. 역사적인 의미에서 조선은 삼성조(1편 1장 7절 참조)시대의 고대조선 또는 단군조선과 같은 말이다. 조선은 또한 조선왕조로 알려져 있는 이씨 왕조(1392-1910년) 통치 시대의 한국을 가리키던 명칭이다.

An overarching term that encompasses the entire historical identity of the Korean people. Joseon is also synonymous with Ancient Joseon, or Dangun Joseon, in the context of the Three Sacred Nations (see 1:1:7). Joseon also was the name of Korea under the Yi Dynasty (1392-1910), an era known as the Joseon Dynasty.
